Hi,
There is an axtrix setup at one of my client end with an autodialer feature. The call center is of 26 sitter and the bandwidth provided to them is 2 mbps full duplex.
The problem that is been faced is that caller voice is not reaching the customer but caller are able to listen to what customer are saying. Now at that point of time the Down link is going fully utilised and the uplink is reaching 1/3 of the down link.
We have tested every aspect for troubleshooting but still not able to resolve the issue. We also removed the nating that was previously there. We have checked the bandwidth throughput by uploading and downloading of data and it's as committed.
Now if some one can share their experiance on the issue... any guidance or any point where we have left out troubleshooting... please do suggest.
regards

Welcome to Voipuser Vishal
One way speech is always a ports issue, what equipment are you using to connect to the internet? The answer lies there, open the ports required for VOIP and all will be well. |

Hi,
As far as port are concern, we have kept all ports open as we are aware that if any prot blocked there may be issue.
Now the network that is in place is as follow, Lease Line on OFC which goes in to MEDIA CONVERTER > Router > ASTRIX VOIP SERVER > LAN SWITCH.
They have a facility of auto dialing at 1.5 / agent and forwarding it to the free line.
Now where things are going wrong is not tracable. uplink and downlink is fine as we checked it end to end.
Please suggest.
Regards

I would still suggest you try doing a port test using the tester here on the Voipuser forum, but you could also usefully ask your provider whether they block Voip traffic. |

Hi
Have you sniffed the network with wireshark and looked at where the packets are expecting to go.

Hi Gray,
I have tried Port tester and it is ok, no port are blocked. I think I need to put it once again by selecting correct words.
Firstly the Uplink not what it should be.. as per 2 mbps full duplex bandwidth. secondly caller voice reaches the customer but it breaks and is un clear most of the time. This dose not happen with all caller but with some caller.
I myself am a Internet service provider and have tried to provide best of the services and have taken all major step to provide the best. We have connected the custome on OFC.
Please suggest.

AFAIC, this still doesn't prove any correlation between the test and the problem your client had experienced because the audio streams do not go TCP as the data packets. |

Hi
If you are the ISP and as you say | Quote: | | Firstly the Uplink not what it should be.. as per 2 mbps full duplex bandwidth. secondly caller voice reaches the customer but it breaks and is un clear most of the time. This dose not happen with all caller but with some caller. |
Then the problem is with the uplink to the customer or in your backbone to the ITSP if thats not local to you. Either way the problem is more than likely in your network |
