I'm being assigned a new number, but when I try set a destination for it I'm being presented an error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/voipuser/www/modules/IpNumber/index.php on line 491

Yelp? Sad

Hmmmm I tried refreshing the page which was giving me the error, but experienced the same issue: http://www.voipuser.org/index.php?name= ... 08700XXXXX (where XXXXXX is the rest of the number I was assigned)

So I tried going back to 'My Numbers' and requesting a new 0870 number and got a "Sorry but for technical reasons we currently can't activate numbers." - which I took as meaning that there are no currently available numbers with this prefix when I got it previously.

Seems to give that error for an invalid number. How are you getting to the page? By bookmark ?

If so, can you try going through the correct route via the link in the left-hand menu.

Yeah I kept the URL which was failing and retried it.

Have tried this, get the "Sorry but for technical reasons we currently can't activate numbers." message which I take as meaning that no 0870 prefix numbers are currently available.

Yup, let's do one of these at a time though.

Can you try setting the destination for the current number that you have, going via the menu system rather than the bookmark?

That'll be the problem then.

Can you remember what the number issued was?

No, but my browser does. These are the numbers that were assigned to me:

08700689419
08700687130

(Note I only need one of them Wink)

Both those numbers are registered to different users, one of which has a similar username to you.

So I would guess that you have multiple accounts here and you're currently logged into the wrong one?

OK, strange. Possible that we've got something strange happening.

Out of interest, what do you need the 0870 number for? They're now re-regulated and restricted numbers - you can't do very much with them.

Was interested in getting one since it appears to be the cheapest number for people in Britain to call me on (those people with landlines ... and on weekends anyway Surprised)

We can't terminate them to PSTN though, and if you're using a SIP endpoint, your SIP 0844 number will generally be the cheapest (3p/min).
